What to include

One thing makes a correction fast to act on, and its absence makes it slow: a link to the page that shows the correct value. Every figure in this catalogue is stored with a source URL, so a correction that arrives with one can be verified and applied in a single pass. A correction that arrives without one has to be researched from scratch, and will sit behind the ones that came with evidence.

• The provider and the specific field or claim
• What it currently says, and what it should say
• A URL that shows the correct value — ideally the vendor's own documentation
• The date it changed, if you know it

What happens next

1. I check the source. Not the claim — the source. A correction is applied when a page states the new value, the same standard every existing figure had to meet.
2. The value and its source URL are both updated. A figure never changes without its evidence changing with it.
3. The edit appears in what's changed. Corrections are logged in public alongside every other edit. There is no quiet fix.
4. You get a reply — including when I decide not to make the change, with the reason.

For vendors

You are welcome to correct your own entry, and factual corrections from vendors are treated exactly like anyone else's: verified against a public source, applied, and logged. A few things are worth stating plainly so nobody wastes an email finding out.

• Facts, yes. Framing, no. If a number, capability or compliance claim is wrong, I want to know and I will fix it. Requests to soften an assessment, remove a weakness, drop a documented security incident, or delist a competitor are not corrections and are declined.
• Nothing here is for sale. Not placement, not ranking, not removal. See the independence statement.
• Undocumented claims cannot be published. If a capability exists but is not on any public page, there is nothing to cite, and the entry will keep saying so. Publishing a doc page is the fastest route to a corrected entry.
• Removal requests. Public products in a public comparison stay listed. If a product is discontinued, tell me and the entry will be marked as such rather than deleted, because readers looking for it need to learn that.

Why an entry might be out of date

Entries are re-checked on a rolling 45-day cycle, and every provider page shows when it was last verified. A figure that is inside that window and still wrong is genuinely an error — please report it. A figure just outside it is more likely a vendor change that has not been picked up yet, which is exactly the case where a link to the announcement helps most.
